Breastie Boxes To Host Second Annual Charity Event
FORT WAYNE - Breastie Boxes, a Fort Wayne-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer, is set to hold its second annual “a Pinch of Pink” charity event. The sold-out event will take place October 24th, celebrating the organization's ongoing mission to provide care packages filled with essential items and personal comfort for breast cancer patients.
This year’s event promises to build on last year’s success, bringing together attendees for an evening of community support, entertainment, and fundraising. Beyond the physical care packages, Breastie Boxes acknowledges the profound emotional journey of a breast cancer diagnosis, fostering connections between patients, caregivers, and medical professionals. These connections offer not only comfort but also a sense of community, reminding patients that they are never alone in their fight.
“We are overwhelmed by the community’s response to this year’s event,” said Founder and President Erica Hyatt. “Even though the event is sold out, we encourage anyone who wants to support Breastie Boxes to consider donating. Every contribution, big or small, helps us to provide comfort to women facing breast cancer.”
All proceeds from “a Pinch of Pink” will directly support the creation and distribution of care packages that bring comfort and support to women at a time when they need it most. Since its inception, Breastie Boxes has been committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of breast cancer patients across the region, and this event serves as a crucial part of their annual fundraising efforts.
